Content of work of the XIV Congress of the International Association of Teachers of Russian and Literature (MAPRYaL) “The Russian word in the multilingual world” which passed on April 29 – on May 3, 2019 in of Nur-Sultan (Republic of Kazakhstan) is presented in the chronicles. On the congress current problems of sociolinguistics, cross-cultural communication, the system description of Russian, modern cultural linguistics, a lexicography, a technique of teaching Russian as foreign, native and nonnative, comparative studying of Russian and other languages, modern theory and practice of translation, literary criticism, technique of teaching the Russian literature were considered.
